Fitness Margins = Science

When a horse is 100% fit it can run @ about 50kph where an unfit horse will run slower.

Why would you want to back a horse that can only run 35kph?

My fitness formula is based on 1% = 1 length in advantage a horse has over another,

so a horse 10% less fit i.e.: 90% can be beaten by 10 lengths by a 100% fit horse.

What tests are there to prove your formula?

Scientific test proved that a car travelling at 45kph (10% slower) behind a car travelling at 50kph

will finish 25 meters behind the faster car over a short distance, the same as horses at full speed.

The length of a horse is universally accepted at 2.4 meters, so x 10 lengths = 24 meters.

So my formula is scientifically proven and correct, and it only took me 50 years!

Punters ask yourself:

"Why would you want to back a horse unfit to run only 35kph when you can back a horse fit to win running at 50kph?"

That is your fitness edge 28.8 offers for free and consistency is our strength whether you are backing

Super fit horses or laying unfit horses.

How fit is your next bet?

Dear Members,

I am getting inundated with emails from punters wanting to get on my UNFIT horses to lay,

and 98% - 99% - 100% fitter good things to hedge.

Evidently you liked the fact that I stayed out all day at Ballarat and did not get

trapped into “easy” heavily backed favourite tips, which were all unfit and ALL LOST.

The only way I can see some things happening for you, is to go off my screens

a few days a week and live on course other days.

I have worked off screens for 10 years now and I expect the same nearly 100% strike rates

when Martin Place strategies, then fitter horses called to hedge.

I may even post a short “comment about some runners to help you” on this forum.

I may start next Thursday live off course rating fitness from the mounting yards, after live on-course at Sandown.

Racing forums, dying because of abuse.

Articles floating around racing forums are suggesting they are not what they were a few years ago.

I agree and it’s because of a few who take a stand against someone and go on and on

about that person/s, who then get banned because of weight of complaints or just

give up as not worth the hassles posting anymore.

Some very smart persons have moved on and that is a bad thing.

I have moved on from some forums and been banned from some others because a few

kept complaining to management about something way above their intelligence.

So this answers emails I get in Why I don’t have an open forum?

I express my views on horse fitness and that is fine by me, I need to

have as stress free life as I can and focus on winners.

Cheers

Trainers that cannot peak their horses in regular super fitness levels resort to "easier" methods and gotta pay the price.

Victorian trainer hit with bicarb charge

Mark Riley faces a lengthy suspension Mark Riley faces a lengthy suspension
MELBOURNE, Jan 29 AAP - Victorian trainer Mark Riley has been formally charged with administering a prohibited substance to one of his horses.

The Riley-trained Gold For Kev returned elevated TCO2 levels in a pre-race sample prior to finishing unplaced in a race at Sandown on July 13 last year.

The trainer pleaded guilty to bringing a horse to the races with a prohibited substance in its system but not guilty to administering a banned substance or causing it to be administered.

However, the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary (RAD) Board on Thursday found the charges against Riley to be proven correct.

A hearing date for the penalty has been adjourned.

Under the Australian Rules of Racing, Riley faces a minimum three-year ban.

Lay this horse in the Blue Diamond.

We saw the preludes run at Sandown and colts winner Burnstone  18/96,

had his day out and railed like a greyhound to win his division.

It is now 3rd fav. for the Blue Diamond and this is NOT a Group 1 horse,

small, nothing flash and it just had its day out, with a good ride.

I suggest lay it win and to not place, as I just cannot see it completing

when the big guns all line up against it.

I have not seen anything that can beat Fontiton yet.

Good luck

Jim
