I have a successful knack of finding a lightly raced horse and back it to win 3-6 months later as

potentially it looks the goods; Preferment is one who after its first race at Sandown I black booked it to

win the Victoria Derby and members backed up and backed up and we got the money with

best price $26.00!

I have another which I have already mentioned and just checking the features markets today as

I got three trifectas in today each over $1k.

The horse is RESIN a 2yo

What does a black booker like this have to have?

I rated RESIN - 97% fit 1^st start in a good race at Flemington a few months ago and marked as a nice type;

watch, but it had about 6 horses fitter and some were well credentialed and highly respected

by the trainers and punters.

On a lower fitness levels that heaps of other horses, about 100 out it exploded from the pack,

took a gap and won running away like a nice horse.

Now that was a run from a horse with a lot of potential and 3-4 lengths fitness improvement in it.

So tonight with a few dollars in my account I thought I would spend some on RESIN at overs.

Surprise, surprise it is not entered in the Blue Diamond but it’s target is the Golden Slipper.

Most unusual and one bookie had it at $126/1, but I did not have an account with them, so

took the $101/$26 on TAB.

Wait and see what happens, but I see that planning as very positive of horse with a lot of ability.

Runs or not, no big harm done, but sure will be cheering down the grandstand if hits the from

50 out in the Slipper!

Kia Ora Koutou suffers serious injury

could have run his last race after suffering a strained tendon in the Perth Cup on Saturday. 

The 2015 VRC Derby placegetter started favourite in the Group Two Perth Cup but weakened in the straight after looming strongly at the turn for home. 

A post-race veterinary examination revealed Kia Ora Koutou had strained his near fore tendon. 

The gelding will undergo scans to determine the severity of the injury.

Another big day today for members at Flemington and spot on about the DAUGHTER of black Caviar getting beaten.
